An essential part of our lives is the calendar.
It provides us with a perspective
In our relationship to our past, present and future.
It helps us to plan our share
Of the accomplishment of God's purpose.
It is a way of recording significant occasions.
Such as birthdays and important family events.
It enables us to have uniform observance
Of cultural tradition and religions festivals.
It is a daily companion, on the desk or on the wall,
Giving us a pattern by which to weave
The fabric of our personalities.

    Like all human beings, I am far from perfect, and I must confess that, despite my best efforts, my memory is not always as good as I would like.  While I do my utmost to remember “everything” told me on Sunday mornings, I would be deeply grateful if folks in worship would both speak and write their prayer concerns, to better help me retain any necessary details.  (You can use those little cards in the back of the pews, and drop the cards into the offering plate.  They come straight to me.)  To those who already do this, thank you.  Please “bear with my foolishness” and help me be the best pastor I can possibly be for you.  God Bless!
